I currently subscribe to Private Eye and they have recently been doing a series of Comic Strips entitled iBores. The subject matter; as you may have guessed, is about Apple fanboyism which I recognise some could accuse me of being apart of at times. Here are a few examples:

American: The Bill Hicks Story

I’m sure I’ve mentioned on here many times that I’m a fan of the comedian Bill Hicks, who tragically died at a relatively young age; one could only imagine what he’d think about the world today. I found out recently that there has been a doucmentraty film made about his life and work, looks rather interesting. If you’ve never heard of Bill Hicks or your possibility interested about the film the trailer for it is below.
If you happen to live in the Wolverhampton area I’ve found out; via the site americanthemovie.com, that it will be showing at the Lighthouse Cinema on Tuesday 18th May. If your from elsewhere in the US or UK just take a look at the site for your local airing.
EDIT: Actually it airs in Wolverhampton on 18th June. Looks like i’ll go watch Four Lions this week then.

Jonas Brothers et al

Bands such as Jonas Brothers really do annoy me, simply manufactured mediocre rubbish. Of course I know it’s for a different market segment than the one i am placed in but that’s what makes the whole thing depressing, music simply created to make money as it’s sole purpose. I Think Bill Hicks sums it up nicely.
