Daria on Youth Marketing

Well I wanted to embed this as a a sort of lazy post but I can’t embed it due to it being disabled, this led me on a path to try and find another way of embedding it without having to upload the video myself and this caused me to completely mess my blog up and waste my morning trying to fix it. (which as you can see I did manage to do :P)

So I’m resorting to simply posting the link now: http://youtu.be/gqJTMl1F9Wg

I really do like Daria and I stumbled upon the above clip last night while idly browsing youtube. Enjoy :)

Typography Videos

My friends have got me interested in typography videos of late, many of them really are impressive; in my mind the videos really do demonstrate the power of words. I actually think it gives greater strength to the quotes seeing the words almost come to life, and move about in the manner they do, rather than just seeing a person or actor say them. Here are a couple I particularly like.

The Cop-out Youtube Video Post!

I can’t help but chuckle mildly to myself about people stereotypically hating having to sit through slide shows and here I am forcing videos onto people… nevertheless here goes!

I link to Bill Hicks videos all the time, for me he is one of the greatest ever comedians. I recently stumbled-upon this interview clip of him discussing his worst ever gig; very amusing.

The second clip is of the Soviet crooner Eduard Khil. This has essentially became the latest internet meme thanks in part to it featuring on the Colbert Report.

A New Year (14 days late)

Ok, So we’ve been in 2010 for 14 days now so this is a bit late, but HAPPY NEW YEAR and all that.

I’ve decided I’m gonna start blogging more often, I do enjoy it but I’m too conscious of what I’m posting, unlike on twitter. So some of the things on here, from now on, maybe more off the cuff or mundane or nothing more than pure conjecture on my part amongst the usual style of structured arguments/opinions and items of interest pulled from the various corners of the web; speaking of which I’m gonna leave you with two videos at the end of this post.

In the next few days I’m gonna make a new page tab which is basically gonna be a disclaimer that not everything on this page is to be taken at face value necessarily, or something along those lines. Anyway, I’m gonna top my glass up with some more port and post two videos that I’ve probably posted before, both rather different from each other, but both of interest to me, and hopefully yourself.

Michael Jackson is Alive and Well?

This video of Michael Jackson supposedly jumping out of the coroner van which transported his dead body is doing the rounds on the Internet; and even in some press outlets. at the moment and I’m just adding to it by posting it here on this small time blog.

The person who posted the video on Live Leak, the video-sharing website, claims to have been passed it by a “trustworthy source”, but offers no proof of its authenticity.

Seems very sketchy, as with most things of this nature. Anyone reckon this will make it on the front page of a tabloid tomorrow? It’s possible.
